Results Verification. Retesting
Typing results in, directly or from bar coded prints. Verify or Retract them
Verification. QC results
One major advantage of using Worksheets, is easy verification or retraction of results since
- Analysis results are reviewed in context of their peers, e.g only for a category of Analysis Services, and not all mixed up like would be the case on the Sample itself. The specialist Verifier focuses on say Metals only and where a result appears to be unusual, may click through to a view of the Sample and its other results
- All QC control results done in the same session are shown as well and those out of range are indicated, assisting the Verifier in deciding whether to retest or Verify the result for publication. Clients already see Verified results online, and will receive them by preferred publication media, email etc.
The worksheet can also be verified as a whole, selecting all results at once, without having to Verify them individually only Samples. Analyses may also be individually verified
If you have the Bika Alert add-on installed, Verifiers are prompted, so as not to lose turnaround time
The Verifiier may navigate directly to the Worksheet from here
When the results are Verified per Worksheet, their states are updated to Verified on themselves and reflect as such on their Sample and Sample views
Retracting results for retesting
When a result was captured with a typo, or require retesting where confidence levels are low, reagents were refreshed. or other similar reason, and it is discovered during Verification, it can be retracted and a new result captured
Enter the new value and submit it again
The earlier result is maintained for traceability, but never shown to the Client
Analyses stay in step on Samples
Analyses technically live in their Sample containers, and when they are updated via Worksheet views, it is done on the Sample itself. Capturing and verifying Analysis results on Worksheets will also trigger Sample state advances or retractions, e.g. when the final Analysis on a Sample is verified, the Sample itself moves to Verified
Looking up Analysis information. Log
At any time more information on a specific analysis can be looked up by clicking the blue information icon next to it. That brings up a pop-up with information on the Analysis' parent Analysis Service, the Method, Calculation and dependants
Scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up for the Analysis' audit trail
