Add QC Controls

To review and verify or retract routine results with certainty, QC results are associated with them on the same Worksheet

Worksheet QC Analyses

After selecting the routine Analyses for the worksheet, Analysts may want to add Control Analyses to reference their results with. QC samples are added to Worksheets from their Blank and Control tabs

Templates do it easier...

Note that most of the manual process described here, can be simplified through the use of pre-configured Worksheet templates that automates the process, useful as time savers when Worksheets tend to have the same lay-outs

Controls

Reference material with known specification. Can be any of internally made up stock dilutions, certified external reference material, CRM, spikes, etc.

On the Worksheet, open the Add Control Reference tab. It'll display a list of valid Reference Samples in stock that can be used for the Analyses on the WS

Select the Sample to be used and for which Analyses. Then select the position on the WS where the Control should go. If no open slots between routine Samples are available, it 'll be appended in a new position at the end of the sheet

The Control is added to the Worksheet

Blanks

Blanks are treated exactly like the other Reference Samples above, except that their expected results are zero. The differentiation makes it easier to pick them up in lists and look-ups

Blanks are selected from their own tab

Duplicates

Duplicates Analyses are done on the same routine Sample, not a CRM, and their results compared. If they differ by more than specified in the Analysis Service's setup, they are high-lighted as out of range too

Select which Sample to be duplicated from the Worksheet's Duplicates tab

The Duplicate is added to the Worksheet with icon D and a sequence number as ID, e.g.
