Analyses

Test It clients range from municipalities, private sector clients in hospitality, agriculture, construction and energy, to members of the public concerned about the quality of their drinking and recreational water 

Analyses offered include:

• Physical water quality - pH, electrical conductivity, NTU and other aesthetic parameters
• Chemical quality - e.g. chlorine residuals
• Corrosivity and scaling indexes to protect heating appliances 
• Salts composition and presence of metals 
• The number and types of bacteria, harmful or naturally occurring
• Effluent Analysis to comply with the National Water Act or other standards
• In agriculture, suitability for livestock use and fertiliser optimisation elsewhere

Test It supportive services include advising on treatment options, filters, scale treatment incident response and corrective actions

Test It LIMS

In Test It's LIMS, a number of Analysis Profiles speeds up sample registration, and Worksheet templates per Lab bench the same for assigning Analysts to jobs. Bika Batches are used to group samples from the same field trip together

Innovative use is made of Calculations to calculate Langelier and Ryznar indexes, and Most Probable Number (MPN) results

Test It is ISO17025:2017 accredited for Electrical Conductivity, pH and Turbidity, as well as microbiological Coliforms, E.coli and Heterotrophic Plate Counts. The LIMS COA, audit trails and role based security support the lab in its accreditation goals of adding more Analyses in the next audit cycle
