Certified Bika Professional: Plone API and Odoo specialists, RIDING BYTES
Bika LIMS started using Plone's API in 2014, interfacing ERP, and hooked up with author Ramon Bartl, RIDING BYTES founder, Germany, over a few cups of Python and pull requests. Meet-ups happened, in Cape Town during Ramon's MBA workshops, and then at the B3Africa workshop in Sweden. Apart from the Bika API, RIDING BYTES has since developed instrument interfaces, perfected Bika's Ansible install playbook, as well as converting Northern European leads. We are most looking forward on expanding the Bika API with RIDING BYTES' assistance, importantly in Bika Biobank where much health care system integration awaits. On a more generic LIMS level, tighter ERP integration is a Bika LIMS objective, while the API can also be put to good use in Froid. Free Open Instrument Middleware. The same tech, and RIDING BYTES' ExtJS mobile experience, also become available to sister projects such as Android Samp, Free and Open sampling App.
