The Doctor role in Bika HealthNot all Doctors referenced in the LIMS get on-line access, or are cc'd with results and their publication preferences are configurable by users authorised as labmanagers Users assigned the Doctor role, logged in and authorised, get access to the data of all Patients for whom they are listed as 'Doctor' on Patient Cases, Samples and Analysis Requests, also those of earlier Patient data where the Patient might have used a different Doctor Doctor registrationWhen a Doctor's user registration is approved, users with lab manager authorisation in the LIMS may create Doctor users for them, using a process similar to that for creating LIMS users for Client Contacts, e.g. from 'User login' tab on the Doctor's default page After successful registration, the LIMS sends the Doctor a welcome email containing his/her login credentials Doctor pagesAuthorised Doctors when logged in, see lists of all the Cases, Samples and ARs on which they are referenced, as well as the list of the Patients to whom these objects belong. They may then drill down on these Doctors with login permission may edit their own contact details and addresses |
Doctor results publicationWhen analysis results are published to the Client, and they reference a Doctor in AR or Case context, the results are cc'd to the Doctor using his/her preferred publication media, Email, PDF and Print That is, if the Doctor's 'cc Results' setting is enabled. This setting takes the form of a check box on the Doctor's publication preferences tab that can only be edited by lab managers The system also features a global 'cc Doctors' setting in the LIMS setup, that applies by default to all, but can be overwritten on individual Doctors Doctors don't have to have their own logins to be cc'd results Doctors with login permission may edit their own publication preferences
