Deactivating Setup ItemsFor traceability and database integrity, no data in the LIMS can be deleted. Where it becomes necessary, Setup items can be deactivated, transitioning to state Dormant and off look-up and other lists. These can be re-activated again if necessary. Transactional objects such as Analysis Requests and Batches, can be cancelled and they are moved to the background as Cancelled, maintaining their primary workflow states from where they too can be woken up again if needed.
Or on the object itself Re-appropriating Dormant setup ItemsSimilarly, Dormant items, say Methods that were unavailable and become available again, can be Re-activated, after relocating them from Dormant lists where they are being kept in the background All edits on them remain traceable and version controlled |
